About Australia

Qualified Education Agent Counsellor QEAC No:1258
Australia is divided politically into six States and two Territories. Canberra is Australians federal capital and the largest inland city. Australians are among the most urbanized people in the world. Each state has a Vocational Education and Training (VET) or Technical and Further Education (TAFE) system. VET prepares people for work in a career that does not need a university degree. There are 39 Australian universities, of which 2 are private. All of Australias universities are established or recognized under government legislation.

SIMPLIFIED STUDENT VISA FRAMEWORK

The simplified student visa framework (SSVF) came into effect on 1 July 2016. Basically SSVF is a no paper application system. Confusions have been eliminated as now there will be just one common visa sub class for all the courses of study that is SUBCLASS 500.

All the international students will be assessed under a single immigration risk framework. The requirements of documents will depend on the education provider and country of citizenship.

All applications are to be lodged creating an online account and the needful documents are to be uploaded accordingly. English language requirements have to be met and the students will be considered on the basis of their genuinely, health, character and finance.

Students who are outside Australia must be enrolled in a registered course of study and provide a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) when they lodge their student visa application.

Transferring to a lower AQF level course or transferring from an AQF level course to a non-AQF Award course is a breach of the student visa condition and might result in the visa being cancelled.

The visa decision shall be made within one month of lodgment. And the processing times shall start only when applicants submit all required documents with their visa application. Failure to submit all required documents may lead to processing delays or visa refusal.

AGENT'S RESPONSIBILITY UNDER THE ESOS ACT

Agent will be the representing face of the university (service provider) at their native country. The students will trust the agents so agents should not go into unethical and corrupt practices, (be it related with information dissemination, documentation or marketing) which might be misleading to the clients. Agents should understand the need of the client and suggest them the best option based on their education and past experience.

Agents should also check the student's gentility and give them accurate and correct information about the lifestyle and cost of living in Australia. And the major thing is that agents need to have a written agreement with the education provider.
